Yes and no ! It will all depend on the type of accommodation you choose. Everything can change over the season according to public health recommendations. Here are the details to know:

  • We do not accept bookings of more than 6 adults.

(COVID-19) Do I have to wear a mask?

At Sea Shack, we respect the rules in force. We will therefore adjust according to the evolution of the sanitary rules in place.

If I arrive without a reservation, can I still have a place to sleep?

In order to avoid unfortunate situations and find yourself running out of steam, we ask that you reserve in advance. More than ever, it is important to book your trip to Gaspésie.

I'm trying to reach you, but no news from you. What is happening ?

We try to respond as quickly as possible to all your messages, whether by email, phone or via Facebook. Please know that we are a small team and that we cannot afford to deal with the sometimes overwhelming flow of messages received in one day. This is why we recommend that you plan ahead in order to book your stay at the Sea Shack and use the correct mode of communication.

For a reservation:

For a question that is not related to accommodation or shows:

Why are you full even though there is room on the beach?

So, then, THE question we are asked the most often! Here are the reasons:

  • In order to comply with public health rules;
  • The Sea Shack is in great demand and it is very important for us to ensure your safety in order to keep the party going for a very long time;
  • Our festive crew wants to offer you quality service and for that, we have to have the time to respond to everyone in all situations;
  • We want to conserve the natural spaces (beaches, banks, forests, etc.) that surround us;
  • Our facilities could not survive if we did not put a limit;

In short, although we would like to accept all the celebrations on earth, every evening, we must set a certain limit. Yeah, but if you got one more, one less, what does that change? We all know, one more at Sea Shack doesn’t exist! Thank you for your understanding and the best way to be sure you get a seat at the Sea Shack is to make a reservation.

Why have you reduced your accommodation capacity?

In order to provide a more intimate experience focused on quality rather than quantity, we have made the decision to reduce overall site traffic for the 2022 season and beyond. This decision was originally taken in order to respect the sanitary rules in place but, last year, it allowed us to offer a different and very pleasant experience, which made us change our minds about the offer. tourism that we usually offer.

Will it still be festive?

Yes, but our cultural offer will henceforth be mainly during the day. No more parties that will never end overnight. On the other hand, we will not prevent people from coming to spend sleepless nights if they wish. If you’re coming with your family, great, but the Sea Shack is not the place to come for the best night’s sleep. Are you coming to party with your gang? This is not the place to come and get high. At the Sea Shack, we listen to each other and follow the vibe!

Why does the bar close at 1:00 am?

In order to avoid excesses and inappropriate behavior following heavy alcohol consumption. As a great sage said: nothing good happens after 2:00 a.m. Please know that we made this decision in order to respect you, to respect our employees but also our neighbors. So, quieter nights and more active days.

Can I bring my personal alcohol?

Yes, but even if we allow it, we suggest that you do not bring your personal alcohol. We offer you local beers and various cocktails in a most enchanting environment. By buying at our bar, it is not only the Sea Shack that you are encouraging, but also Gaspé microbreweries as well as a local economy, independent and proud to be Quebecois.

Personal alcohol should be consumed on the beach or inside a cottage or private home.

In short, this year is happening during the day, be there!
